Ecommerce website builder pricing
NexCart Starter has no monthly platform fee and no NexCart transaction fee. You pay your payment provider when a customer pays by card. Upgrade only if you want guided help.
Most ecommerce platform pricing is a maze: a monthly tier, a percentage on every order, paid themes, and checkout apps that bill separately. NexCart keeps the decision small. Publish an online store on Starter at $0. Connect the processor you already trust. Move to Business when you want a human in the loop.
That is intentional. If you are validating a catalog, you should not be choosing between “Basic” and “Advanced” before the first sale. Ecommerce platform features are on Starter so you can take a real order, not a demo order. For the category overview, read the online store builder guide.

Starter is the full ecommerce website builder for a single store: branded storefront, products and variants, inventory, checkout, orders, customers, payments setup, shipping methods, tax settings, and a NexCart subdomain. Templates and basic theme customization are included. You do not unlock checkout by upgrading.
NexCart does not add a platform transaction fee on Starter. If a customer pays $100 by card, NexCart does not take an extra 1–2% on top of the processor. You still pay Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, or whichever provider you connect — those companies set their own rates by country and card type.
Cash on delivery, where you enable it, has no card processing rate. That can matter for markets where COD is the default. The honest comparison is: NexCart platform fee + processor fee, versus a hosted platform’s subscription + its extra transaction fee + the same processor fee.
| Cost | NexCart | Typical hosted platform | Plugin stack |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly platform fee | Starter $0 | Often $29–$299+ | Hosting + plugin licenses |
| Platform transaction fee | $0 on Starter | Sometimes 0.5–2% extra | Depends on stack |
| Card processing | Provider rates only | Provider + possible platform fee | Provider + gateway plugins |
| Online store & checkout | Included | Included on paid plans | Theme + checkout plugin |
| Templates | Included | Theme store, often paid | Theme purchase |
| Custom domain | When you are ready | Usually paid plans | DNS + hosting setup |
Hosted-platform ranges are typical public list prices, not a quote from a specific competitor. Always confirm current rates before you migrate.
No. Starter is free. You can publish an online store, add products, and take orders without a NexCart subscription.
NexCart does not add a platform transaction fee on Starter. Card payments still incur your payment provider’s processing rate — for example Stripe, PayPal, or Razorpay.
You pay the processor you connect, not a second NexCart cut on each order. Those processor rates are set by the provider and can vary by country and card type.
Choose Business when you want help launching, a dedicated support channel, or marketing automations beyond the free plan. See features if you are unsure which tools you need first.
